Athabasca is a town in northern Alberta, Canada. It was formerly known as Athabasca Landing. It is located 145 kilometers (90 miles) north of Edmonton, on the banks of the Athabasca River, near the confluence of Highways 2 and 55. It is the county seat of Athabasca.
